Years ago the Technology may have looked scary and create diffidence in the metal spinning world, but today it can be considered a great ally for the traditional craftsman and help him to produce a high quality product.
Through the words of our colleague Dennis Benetazzo we will travel through the dual soul of Nova Sidera, the industrial and the craftmanship; we will later give space to Beniamino Tomola, partner of GTB SrL and a Nova Sidera customer for more than 30 years.

From the 90s to today: craftmanship and innovation with GTB Srl
GTB Srl is a company with a long story, which started with the intuition of Pietro Tomola in 1966 and continues today with his sons Beniamino and Giuliano. During these years GTB has always invested in new Technology but has at the same time always cherished and respected its vocation of craftmanship. This has made the company a strategic supplier for many companies in the Aerospace and Naval sector.
“At the end of the 80s we saw the new technology in our sector with a little bit of mistrust. Then we met Silvano tasso, the founder of Nova Sidera, and together we started to develop a semi-automatic Spinning Lathe that allowed us to work on Steel and Stainless Steel parts avoiding the manual labor and allowed us furthermore to produce parts that would have been impossible before.”
With this words Beniamino Tomola remembers the origins of our cooperation with GTB, a professional and human connection that since the 90s facilitated the production of ever more advanced machines able to produce the desired products.
