How it all begun
In the last few months, we have told you about us in the present, and what we expect for the future; today we want to look back to our past and tell you how it all begun, starting from the strong roots that from 1990 have allowed us to grow and evolve.
From the country setting of Castell’Alfero, a small village of 2,700 people in the middle of wineries and forests, to the office in Miami Florida, which has allowed us to be closer to our North American customers since 2017, the story of Nova Sidera is that of a family business that grows from one generation to the other maintaining the same values, quality and care, of our founder Silvano Tasso.
We would like then to dedicate this Newsletter to our past, that makes us what we are today and allows us to look forward to the future with optimism. We will do it through the words of our Partner and Head of Service for our customers globally, Alessandro Tasso, and those of one of our customers, Massimo Strambi, CEO and owner of Tecnoelettra, who told us about the emotions he felt when he entered Nova Sidera for the first time with his father, 30 years ago.

As the second generation in Nova Sidera, we enjoy a solid foundation built through the years, and focus our efforts towards the improvement of production processes and the development of innovative solutions.

From the words of Alessandro Tasso, partner of Nova Sidera, it is clear that we have chosen to position ourselves as partners of our customers, and their allies in the metal spinning arena. This is an approach we have followed for a long time and has been shaping our relationships from the beginning.
Among the long-term partnerships, Alessandro tells us about Tecnoelettra and Massimo Strambi, owner and CEO of the company: “Massimo and I were only kids when our fathers begun to build and use spinning lathes.”
Looking back at the past and seeing how our customers have grown with us is a reason for pride and deep satisfaction. Just like Tecnoelettra, which started with just one machine and today has nine.

From love at first sight to 33 years together: the collaboration between Tecnoelettra and Nova Sidera
It was 1990 when the cooperation between Tecnoelettra and Nova Sidera begun. Here is how Massimo Strambi, owner and CEO of Tecnoelettra, tells us about his very first contact with our company: “I remember when the door of the warehouse in Nova Sidera opened and I saw this machine that was producing the same parts that my father would do on a hand lathe, with a stick and a belt. That was the moment I fell in love with Metal Spinning.”
These words really paint a picture and make us proud to be the partners of companies that love their work and trust us in order to grow and constantly improve.
“Choosing Nova Sidera allowed us to grant reliability to our own customers. We have only had a few machine downtimes and they have always been properly managed, and the CNC controlled metal spinning process has really spurred the growth of our company.”
All of this makes us confident that what has happened in the past can continue in the future: the reason is that only with trust and mutual respect important goals can be accomplished, together.
